The player works perfectly for playing all regions of DVDs after entering the region hack. The VHS player works okay, although the automatic tracking is a problem as this seems to cut in at every opportunity. The VHS recorder works as well as can be expected, although this is a basic model.
The DVD recorder is the main problem with this. It started okay, and although the menu creation facility is limited, I was prepared to put up with this. The problem is that after creating about ten DVDs, the DVD recorder function just packed up. I understand this is a common problem with DVD recorders, but with Samsung I would have expected better reliability.
A disappointment.

AFTER ONLY A FEW DAYS OF RECORDING TO DVD I CAN NO LONGER RECEIVE ANY TV CHANNELS TO BE ABLE TO RECORD TO VIDEO OR DVD.
