I wanted a 1080p dvd player to make full use of my 1080p LCD TV.
This one gives you a choice of resolutions including 720P & 1080i as well as others. As I Linked it with a HDMI cable it knew I wanted 1080P . Sound quality produced is excellent.Picture much improved with dvds and I have sky HD so suitably impressed. This is comparing it with a much older LG HDD DVD rec player I already had,same width but a lot slimmer and half the depth but quality build and appearance. Don’t lose the remote as controls on the player very basic. Good value for £50 .Has scart composite and optical digital output.All in all, a neat compact attractive unit.

Having recently purchased 42″ LG LCD HD TV, I was looking for something to complement it. With the satisfaction of quality of the TV I though I would stick with the LG brand. Glad I did ! The picture quality form standard DVD is immense. Even the the quality of the home movies is exceptional. The fact it can also play media from a USB drive is also a bonus. Has no problem dealing with files of various formats, avi, mpeg, jpeg, mp3,wav. All in all I am quite happy & impressed with combined results of this player crossed with a full 1080p HD TV. Small, sleek & slender means it looks the part to. Highly recommend this product for all these reasons & its ease of setup and use. High quality product for a good price.

Bought this as a present for my girlfriend. Has been working great, can play .avi and .mpeg2 off of a usb stick and HDMI upscaling works great. Overall very pleased with the product and would deffinitely recommend.

I have just received this player and it is a lot better than I expected.I have a lg TV and the moment I plugged the player it recognized the TV as 720p and my remote for the TV worked the dvd player straight away. The picture from my standard dvds is brilliant and the sound is excellent. For the price it is a great investment and worth every penny, cannot recommend it highly enough.
