If you own a Sony handycam & other Sony products this is a great buy. If you don’t take care. I have a two Panasonic camcorders & sadly neither work with this recorder.Panasonic DV out is not compatable with Sony’s DV IN & using a USB gave device not reconised message for both cameras. I will have to buy composite leads to see if I’ve wasted my money on the video side for sure.
Photo’s from an SD card are stunning & worth the thirty minute wait for a slide show of 87 pictures. I found the base music feature got boring after a while & have not yet tried an MP3 for background music.
The build quality is good as you might expect from Sony. No leads are provided other than the mains plug.The card readers cannot read video only pictures.I downloaded the manual prior to purchase so feel a little let down on the camera compatability issue, I assumed DV in was DV in!
